You’ve seen her on ESPN’s Garage Block – Mother’s Polish Car Show Series, Bidding Wars, Russo & Steele Collector Car Auction and other motorsports Shows & Auctions throughout the country. She will also be on the cover of Hot Rod Deluxe in July/August and featured in Car Craft in Aug. Now you can see her at the Great Pottsville Cruise on August 9th & 10th for photos, autographs, T.V. interviews and much more.

The Great Pottsville Cruise plans an exciting lineup of events and celebrities for Sunday, August 10, 2008. This year’s Cruise will kick off with the 2nd annual Cruise-In Deck Party at the Pottsville Club, Wednesday August 6th from 6 pm to 9 pm. Everyone is welcome.

Thursday night August 7th is the annual Coney Island and 12-Volt Dave’s “Generation X” Sound Off and Car Show at Yorkville Coney Island from 6 pm to 9 pm. For sign-up information call 570-628-4561.

Tickets will be available for the 2008 official Cruise Car at all events; a 1995 Admiral Blue Corvette sponsored by Pioneer Pole Buildings Inc. of Schuylkill Haven. Also, tickets are now available for a drawing for VIP tickets to “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, compliments of Jay Leno. Airport transportation by Deer Lake Limousine Service is included, courtesy of T-102/WPPA radio.

Friday night August 8th is the annual Sock Hop at Pine View Acres, Pottsville, sponsored by Vist Financial & Banking of Schuylkill Haven. Tickets are $10.00 per person at the door or in advance. There will be live music by “The Mudflaps”, trophies and prizes for the best 50’s attire, dance contests, and much more. Bring your ride; parking lot security will be provided.

Saturday, August 9th kicks off with the annual Cruise-In to Jerry’s Classic Cars & Collectibles Museum, 394 S. Centre St. Pottsville. A great day is planned with a live appearance by Genevieve Chappell from ESPN2, live radio, a DJ, and special Museum tours throughout the day from 10 am to 5 pm. Re-live the 50’s and 60’s and have a little fun. Extra off-street parking will be available.

Saturday night it’s the Cruise-In to the downtown Coney Island on North Centre St Pottsville from 6 pm to 9 pm with the band “Shake, Rattle, & Soul” sponsored by the Schuylkill Valley Corvette Club. Last year’s event drew over 200 classic cars, street rods, and Corvettes. TV personality Genevieve Chappell, host of ESPN2’s “Bidding Wars” and “Garage Block” will appear for photos and autographs.

Sunday, August 10th kicks off the 15th Annual Great Pottsville Cruise with 12-Volt Dave’s “Cruisin’ Thunder” starting at 8 am at Ken’s Tires, Laurel Blvd. Pottsville. Special features throughout the day will include Kevin Harvicks #29 Pennzoil Shell NASCAR and the Bridgestone/Firestone Formula F-1 Indy car, sponsored by Ken’s Tires.

Stage your cruise car early at Martz Hall for a full day of fun and special appearances. Spectator parking will be available at United Metal Receptacle. The car show will be from 10 am to 4 pm. Cruise the city from 4 pm to 6 pm, and then it’s back to Martz Hall from 6 pm to 9 pm for trophy presentations, live music from “Flamin’ Dick & the Hot Rods”, and drawings for the Cruise Car and for the “Tonight Show with Jay Leno” tickets. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display sponsored by the Yuengling Brewery & Gift Shop, Schuylkill County Visitors Bureau, Ed’s USA Auto Rentals, and United Metal Receptacle.
